Peavy on the Mound

Looks like Peavy’s going to take the mound against the Cards in Game 1. We know he can play through pain, but being in at full-strength is going to be the key to this game. I think it will ultimately determine whether we make it to the NLCS.

hey, hey, hey. I was at marina Del Mar this summer, dressed in an assortment of Cardinals jerseys. I heard a lot of talk about how the Padres would be extracting some kind of revenge on the Cards this year. I guess that the Padres won't be getting revenge until they start walking pujols. It is better to put a runner in scoring position and face another batter when you consider that pitching to Pujols means that a runner on first is in scoring position. I loved the weather, loved the fair, loved the mojitos, love the ballpark, I guess Pujols does too. You guys are in trouble because all you really need is two solid starters in the playoffs.( see Arizona) It is true we don't have a # 3,4 or 5 starter. but Suppan at Home and Carpenter for game 5 if needed gives us a solid chance at advancing
